OOTB 718 – Thursday 17th March – The Safari Lounge

Out of the Bedroom 718 is live this Thursday, 17th March, downstairs in The Safari Lounge, 21 Cadzow Pl, Edinburgh EH7 5SN. It’s St. Patrick’s Day which is a essentially a celebration of music and life – so what better way to do that than with an evening at OOTB?
 
The open mic is on from 8.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. Entry is free and sign up for a slot is from 7.30 p.m.
 
All are welcome! There will be a house guitar available and we will have amplification.
 
Out of the Bedroom will be in The Safari Lounge every fortnight in 2022.
 
Out of the Bedroom 717 took place at The Safari Lounge on Thursday 3 March. The performers were: Startled Bee, Tina Avery, Elsie MacDonald, Tau Boo, Mike Wheeler, James Igoe, Indigo Rose, Majk Stokes, Jim Bryce (host). Tau Boo was on sound desk.

Out of the BedZoom #91: Cities – Thursday 10 February 2022 – online

Young trio playing in a clubOut of the BedZoom 91 will take place on Thursday 10 February via Zoom ID 819 8115 9526 and passcode 476451. There will be a waiting room in operation.

This week’s theme is Cities. New York, London, Paris, Munich, Jakarta, Dundee… all cities of varying sizes. You may have others in mind… it’s a wide open theme this week. You can play an original song based on the theme or not – the choice is yours.
 
We will start at 8.00 p.m. and we’ll go on until the final act plays. Each act will perform one song with slots chosen randomly.
 
The Zoom room will be open from around 7.45. This will allow time for hellos, catch up and technical set up if required.

The good news is that Covid-19 restrictions are no longer in place in terms of numbers, so all are welcome!

There will be a house guitar available and we will have amplification.

This week’s theme is Cars. There are two basic rock ‘n roll themes: cars and girls. What’s your favourite? A chevy? A Ferrari? A mini? Or should all cars be phased out? You can play an original song based on the theme or not – the choice is yours.
 
We will start at 8.00 p.m. and we’ll go on until the final act plays. Each act will perform one song with slots chosen randomly.
 
The Zoom room will be open from around 7.45. This will allow time for hellos, catch up and technical set up if required.

There will be a house guitar available. This week will be an unplugged session due to staff shortages.

Please take a lateral flow test before you come. We hope that this will be the last live OOTB event with health restrictions.

This week’s theme is Auld and New. It’s 2022… is it “out with the auld and in with the new”? Or are you quite happy with the auld and sod the new? It’s 2022 and Out of the Bedroom 713 is back face-to-face and live this Thursday, 6th January, in The Safari Lounge, 21 Cadzow Pl, Edinburgh EH7 5SN. The open mic is on from 8.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. Entry is free and sign up for a slot is from 7.30 p.m.
 
Note: due to Covid restrictions, numbers per household are strictly limited. Please contact hello@outofthebedroom.co.uk to confirm and ensure your place. Please take a lateral flow test before you come. We hope that restrictions will be removed for future events.
 
We’ll be in the downstairs room in The Safari Lounge where we had a very enjoyable Christmas party in December. There will be a house guitar and a PA as per usual, as well as a house keyboard. We hope you can join us on Thursday evening – all are welcome: old, new and in-between.
